Raha Community Care is a Melbourne‑based NDIS and nursing provider built around one simple promise: Care That Understands You. We combine nurse‑led clinical expertise with genuinely multicultural, person‑centred support so adults across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs can live with greater comfort, confidence and connection.
Raha Community Care is part of Raha Care Group Pty Ltd, an NDIS‑registered, nurse‑led provider headquartered in Ringwood and focused on the eastern suburbs of Metropolitan Melbourne.
“Raha” means comfort and peace – a reflection of our commitment to creating care environments where people feel safe, listened to and understood, not rushed or reduced to a file number.
Our purpose is to provide care that truly understands each individual. We believe every person deserves support that is:
Grounded in active listening and genuine compassion
Focused on building independence, not dependence
Of culture, language, identity, family and life experience
We aim to deliver high‑quality, participant‑focused services under the NDIS that support independence, dignity and community connection, particularly for people with complex or high‑intensity care needs.
Our long‑term vision is to be a trusted, culturally inclusive provider across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, known for:
In a crowded NDIS market, we have chosen to specialise rather than be “everything to everyone.” Raha Community Care is built around three core strengths.
Many providers offer personal care and community access; fewer place registered nurses at the centre of care coordination. At Raha, experienced RNs help design, oversee and review support plans for participants with higher or more complex needs, including high‑intensity daily supports and community nursing.
This means:
It is a model designed for participants and families who want both warmth and clinical confidence in their care.
The eastern suburbs of Melbourne are home to large culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, yet many families still struggle to find services that feel genuinely culturally safe.
Raha Community Care responds by:
We see culture and language as strengths that should be reflected in the way care is delivered, not barriers to be worked around.
We focus our efforts on the eastern suburbs of Metropolitan Melbourne, allowing us to build strong local networks with hospitals, GPs, community health, support coordinators and multicultural organisations.
Being locally based means we understand:
This local knowledge helps us design support that works in real life, not just on paper.
Our values are more than words on a wall – they guide daily decisions in homes and communities across the eastern suburbs.
We take the time to listen to your story, understand your fears and respect your pace. Empathy for us is not just being “nice”; it is adapting how we support you so that care feels safe, not overwhelming.
You invite us into your home and your life. We honour that trust by protecting your privacy, being transparent about what we do and why, and following the NDIS Code of Conduct, Practice Standards and Australian Consumer Law.
We actively welcome participants and families from all backgrounds. Cultural respect shows up in the languages we speak, the food we understand, the way we handle sensitive conversations and the way we involve (or step back for) families and community leaders when requested.
Every service – from daily personal care to life‑skills training or group activities – is designed to support you to do more for yourself where it is safe and meaningful, not to take over tasks you can or want to learn to manage.
Every person’s situation is different, so we follow a collaborative, step‑by‑step approach rather than pushing fixed “packages.”
Our nurses and care team work with you to shape a support plan that might include daily personal care, nursing, SIL support, transport, life‑skills training or community participation – always aligned with your NDIS plan and goals.
We aim for familiar faces, predictable routines and clear communication so you know who is coming, when and what they will support you with.
As your health, confidence or circumstances change, we adjust your supports – building on your strengths, responding quickly to new risks and always centring your voice in decisions.
Raha Community Care operates in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Our commitment includes:
We are serious about doing the right thing – clinically, legally and ethically – while keeping your experience of care warm and human.
The demand for high‑quality, culturally inclusive NDIS and nursing services in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs is growing, especially among participants with complex needs and CALD communities.
Raha Community Care’s long‑term ambition is to:
Raha Community Care fully complies with the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Standards, and Quality Indicators set by the NDIA and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Our participants and their families can trust that every service meets the highest regulatory standard.
We are serious about doing the right thing – clinically, legally and ethically – while keeping your experience of care warm and human.
