The word “Raha” means comfort and peace in several South Asian languages. It reflects exactly what we set out to create — a care environment where every participant feels safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
We are a Melbourne-based NDIS registered provider and private nursing care service, founded on a belief that high-quality disability support should be coordinated by qualified clinicians — not left to chance.
Every care plan we deliver is developed and overseen by Seema Chauhan, our co-founder and Registered Division 1 Nurse with over 18 years of clinical experience at Cabrini and Monash Health. This is our core differentiator, and it is built into everything we do.

How Raha Came to Be
- 2024
The idea is born
After 18 years in clinical nursing, Seema Chauhan identifies a gap: NDIS participants with complex needs and diverse cultural backgrounds are underserved by existing providers in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Raha Community Care is founded
- 2025
NDIS registration achieved
Raha successfully completes NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission registration and begins delivering nurse-coordinated support services across the eastern suburbs.
- 2025+
NDIS registration achieved
Building partnerships with local GPs, LACs, and support coordinators. Expanding our multilingual team. Becoming a trusted name across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
